Show IH: a workbook that tells beginners NOT to expect passive income

I'm the author and publisher of The Online Business Launch Workbook ($19 PDF) — a step-by-step guide for absolute beginners covering the five stages of starting: choosing a business model, validating the idea, setting up the offer, getting your first customers, and launching.

The anti-hype part is deliberate: the first pages promise readers the book will NOT promise income, will NOT tell them it's easy, and will NOT use urgency or scarcity. The realistic timeline we give: 4–8 weeks to work through the workbook, months 2–3 to launch something small, months 4–12 of iterating before income steadies. Anyone selling a 30-day income is leaving out the part where they already had skills, an audience, or money.

Why we built it: my partner and I run Stepwise Press, a two-person micro-publisher, and we kept meeting beginners stuck at step zero — no map, while every guide around was aimed at people who already had an audience. So we wrote the missing first step: 5 chapters, 8 fill-in worksheets, a launch checklist and 30-day plan, ~12,000 words, delivered as a PDF.

Honest about our own starting point too: zero audience, first launch. The workbook is here: The Online Business Launch Workbook

Happy to answer questions about the content, the pricing, or running a zero-audience launch — all of it is on the table.
